Nurse’s Station

The Care Center’s team of nurses use their skills and knowledge to provide health screenings for our guests. Nurses and medical professionals provide blood pressure and glucose testing, helping guests stay healthy and informed. This team can help educate our guests about a healthy lifestyle and bring a sense of comfort for those with questions or concerns.

Volunteer shifts for our team of nurses are during normal Care Center hours.

Teaching Kitchen
If you enjoy cooking healthy meals, consider joining the Teaching Kitchen team. This team hosts cooking classes for Care Center guests with the goal of helping them learn how to prepare nutritious meals for themselves and their families. Some guests may have particular health goals and others might simply be interested in making healthier eating choices. These cooking classes are offered once or twice a month on Thursday evenings.

To volunteer at the Care Center as a nurse or with the Teaching Kitchen, sign up for an upcoming Volunteer Orientation. Orientation dates can be seen below.
