Chicagoland is one of the largest refugee resettlement areas in the country. We have the opportunity to welcome our new neighbors and walk alongside them as they adjust to their new life in America. The Refugee Ministry at the Care Center seeks to assist in restoring futures for the multitude of displaced survivors who are rebuilding their lives.
The Refugee Ministry partners with three local organizations that provide services for resettled refugees: Devon Oasis Center, Exodus World Service and World Relief DuPage/Aurora. To learn more about our partners and the available volunteer roles click here (link to pdf). Each volunteer that is serving refugees is required to complete the Willow Creek Protection Process, which includes a background check. This process is initiated when you fill out a volunteer application.

In addition to serving opportunities, the Refugee Ministry also offers educational events, which feature guest speakers on a variety of refugee issues, as well as one-time serving opportunities with one of our partner organizations.
Join us on July 24th at 7:30 p.m. for a special event - Refugees: Conversations with a New Neighbor and Packing Event.
