Providing Food to Any Person or Family in Need

The Care Center Food Store is a full-choice pantry, providing quality, healthy groceries to any family or individual in need. When guests arrive at the Care Center and checked in with volunteers, they have the opportunity to shop our selection of meat, dairy, breads, fresh produce, canned goods, and even birthday cakes. Once shopping is completed, volunteers will bag and place your groceries in your vehicle.

The Food Store is open during regular operating hours of the Care Center; doors open one hour before opening. All guests are welcome to one Food Store visit per calendar month.

Culturally Responsive Foods

Since 2022, the Care Center has seen a drastic rise in new guests, many who are refugees or immigrants from Venezuela and Ukraine. We’ve become increasingly aware of the disparity between our food selection and the large number of Hispanic, Latinx and Eastern European guests that we serve. By offering an increased selection of cultural and ethnic foods, known as Culturally Responsive Foods, the Care Center hopes to become a beacon for immigrants and refugees by offering a sense of familiarity, comfort, and belonging as they tangibly experience the love of God.

The types of Culturally Responsive Foods available at the Care Center include the following:
