Pick up donations from local grocery stores to help stock the Food Store
Are you looking for an opportunity to serve, but would prefer to be more behind-the-scenes? Each week, our team of gleaners picks up donations from different stores, including Jewel, Aldi, Marianos, and Gordon Food Service Store, to stock the Food Store for our guests.
We have two truck fleet vehicles that go out throughout the week to pick up from local partners. Gleaners can use their own vehicles to pick up the smaller donations. You do not need a CDL to operate our trucks and do not have to drive if you are not comfortable. Two people are partnered up for pickups: one person driving and one riding along (unless you use a personal vehicle). Some heavy lifting is required and training is provided.
